“Bonjour, Kon’nichiwa, Hallo, Hola, Marhabaan, Ni hao, Xin chao, Salam, Hello!” The hallways of CMS are buzzing with the multicultural voices of our middle school English Language Learners (ELLs)! They come to us from the cultures of Afghanistan, China, Egypt, Germany, Guatemala, Ivory Coast, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Syria, Togo, and Vietnam.
English Language Learners (ELLs) are working very hard on building conversation and learning phonics, grammar, reading, and writing in English. They need our help to become proficient in academic English, the language in our schools, to achieve success in our country. Welcome them to our Cyclone Nation!
On September 27, we will be inviting all ELL families in Millard Public Schools to our annual ELL Fall Festival at Central Middle School. We are excited to welcome all our ELL families!
